About White Pines Academy
Our Philosophy
At White Pines Academy, we believe that adults with autism/developmental disabilities have the potential to learn and explore - so that they can become their very best. Each student has their own unique strengths and areas for growth; therefore, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where all students can thrive and achieve their goals - in their own unique way. Our teachers are understanding, kind, and have big hearts - while also having high expectations for our students and will push them to be their very best!
Our Faculty
Our faculty members have educational backgrounds in applied behaviour analysis, psychology, and social work, and have acquired decades of experience working with individuals with autism and/or other developmental or intellectual disabilities. They are passionate about teaching and mentoring, and are committed to helping students reach their full potential. Our faculty members are dedicated to utilizing an individualized approach when supporting each and every student.
Our In-Class Programs
We currently are offering two academy programs - Success Through Structure and Rise and Thrive!
WPA also offers a drop-in option - "Drop-in Wednesdays" - where individuals can integrate into our academy program on the most fun day of the week - WITH NO COMMITMENT!!
If any of the programs that are offered do not meet your needs, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Program Director. If the need arises in the community for a new program that can serve enough students, the Program Director will make it happen.
